Henry’s mother had specifically asked if we could capture some shots of him alone, to go with the ones she has of his sister a couple of years back. But Henry was asleep when we arrived at Pt Walter, and since we were photographing a total of 7 children, we got right on with it. We got some great shots of them under the shade, but it was a stinker of a day and it didn’t take long for them to start to meltdown. By the end of an hour, they had done so well, and were all completely over it, Henry included…but we still hadn’t managed to capture any solo shots of him. With a bit of healthy bribing and a game with mum and I, Henry became sufficiently distracted for me to snap a series of him under the tree. I love them all, but this is my fave, with his cheeky smile and the light on his hair.
